Now that is impressive although as a device you can only use it once it is charged as it is for cordless use. This might be somewhat of a flaw but since it is meant to be recharged super-fast, this might not bother the user much. 

It has 14 distinct length settings that works by first adjusting the trimming comb and then choosing what setting we desire. However the most impressive features it offer the user is its cool contour following option that allows the blade to glide along the face or any other area with extreme comfort and ease. And of course, as with all the devices on this list, it allows for both wet and dry shaves.

We have been keen to include this device is many of our previous lists mainly because we absolutely love this product for its dual functionality when it comes to wet and dry use however since we aim to provide the most accurate and honest reviews, let’s get down to brass tacks and list out the flaws first. 

We are not super impressed by the device’s battery performance as it takes quite some time to reach a full charge and when it is ready to go, it will only offer the user around 40 to 50 minutes of performance. Compared to some of the other products here, this just does not cut it somehow. Since you need the device almost daily or alternating days, it should offer at least an hour long usage which is lacking. 

Other than that you have to continually oil the blades for efficient maintenance so they last longer and remain fresh and sharp. There is no issue with this except for the fact that as working individuals and busy men, one might forget to do this daily or even after each use and this will cut down the quality and amount of times we can use these blades. 

However it’s not all gloom and doom for the GB 40 S as its pros really outweigh its cons. For one, it is super compact and while it looks heavy and large appearance-wise, it is actually pretty lightweight and has the right kind of power needed to offer the best control. Carrying around a heavy product may make you feel like a real man but it will weigh down on your shaving capabilities real soon. It also has an ergonomic design with rubberized gripping handle that allows you to maintain a firm grasp on it regardless of wet or dry usage.  

The device also offers an impressive 19 blade settings that can be chosen and changed via an adjustment dial which ranges in lengths from 1 to 10 millimetres. The range of lengths makes this device more appropriate for shorter hair types and although it might manage with longer flat lying hair, it will not give the best performance. Don’t get us wrong, this is definitely a heavy duty device but it has its limitations. 

The best part is the maintenance becomes super easy and breezy as the device comes with small holes which are situated beneath the blades which filter out the cut off and excess hair once you flow water through it. This smart feature is a god send because cleaning up after is perhaps the worst part of the entire process. 

 

Remington Touch Tech Groomer:

Our next device is the Remington Touch Tech Groomer which is one of the latest models from the brand and is very exciting to say the least as it is equipped with its amazing touch tech technology which enables the device to provide the closest cutting experience ever in beard styling and it comes in a unique and stylish build as well. With a futuristic design and a heavy-duty performance, this product is the one to watch. 

As the name suggests, the touch tech has a touch screen interface that lets the user operate it with such ease and convenience which they would their smartphone or tablets. User-friendly ability is a major plus point in any device nowadays which shows you don’t need fancy features to be the best. The next item on our list is the Philips Beard Trimmer which is from their 5100 series and is a sure-fire hybrid model from the brand as it also doubles as a hair clipper.  The device offers an impressive 17 precision settings for hair length which are built-in and can be readjusted via the rotatable dial called the Zoom wheel and ranges from 0.4 to 13 millimetres. 

It also employs an impressive guidance system to tackle multi-directional growth and flat lying longer hair as it employs a lift and trim technology which provides a great trimming experience which is both precise and smooth. The durable lithium ion battery provides up to 70 minutes of charge time which is more than enough in case you forget to charge your device. 

The blades are self-sharpening and made of stainless steel which acts as a hypoallergenic material and lasts way longer than your average blades. No need to replace them after every month or so as they get sharper and more accurate with each use. This means that irritation can be avoided as they only need to be brushed over one area once to get the most out of it. 

 

Panasonic ER-SB40-K:

Our second last item for the day is the Panasonic SB40 K which shows that we are really impressed with the entire Panasonic range as they include the wet and dry dual function in almost all of their beard trimmer models. The wet and dry function is only accentuated with the fact that it also comes with a rubberized grip that means your device won’t slip out of your hands even if you use slippery foamy gels and creams to make your experience more comfortable. It can also be cleaned with water and is fully immersible in it so using it in the shower is super easy. 

The blades are stainless steel and are therefore considered to be a hypoallergenic material they are also wide tipped around the edges to capture the most hair in one go. The sharp and accurate blades even get those low lying hair easily. 

Other than that, the device offers 19 precision based settings which make for a very custom beard styling experience. These can be selected via an adjustment dial. 

 

Panasonic ER-GB96:
