Best Mustache And Beard Trimmer

Remington PG6025:

We are starting off this with a classic Remington product which is called the Remington PG6025 which is first of all a fairly sleek and attractive model as it has a nice black body, offers 6 unique shaving and trimming attachments and even come with a black travelling bag which you can neatly place inside your luggage to transport all your tools, gadgets and groomers.

Let’s talk about features a bit. The PG6025 as most of their devices has the classic Remington Lithium Ion battery which are rechargeable, durable and powerful. Not only does the battery retain the battery for longer, it also efficiently and effortlessly directs all the power to flow to the motor blade. The battery also consistently performs, providing you with up to an hour of cordless usage. The best part of this is that no matter how long you have this device, the battery or charge will not lag at any point in time and that is a Remington promise of reliability and exceptional quality.

Moving on to the blades capability in this device, they are fashioned out of stainless steel which is surgical grade quality and will not rust, bend or give up over time. This is because as they brush up against each other whenever you use them, they sharpen themselves with each use which leaves you with even sharper blades. The blades also double as a hypoallergenic option to those with allergies or sensitive skin as steel reduces risk of potential cuts, bumps or irritation. No need to fear the sharp blades on this bad boy as they are smooth in their performance.

However, there is one fatal flaw in this device and that is the fact that this product is not waterproof. This might not be a huge issue for those who love a dry shave, it is a concern since we expect this feature as a standard one nowadays.

  • No Lag
  • Stainless Steel Blades

Phillips One Blade:

The Phillips One Blade as the name suggests is simple designed trimmer with one blade and yet a great set of features as it is a hybrid tool that is just as good for shaving as it is for trimming. It consists of both wet and dry functionality which was something that was not available in the Remington we reviewed just now.

Of course it is impressive since you can get the perfect foamy and wet shave or trim within the confines of your home and that too with a device as powerful as this one. Cleaning and maintaining the device also becomes an absolute breeze as you simply run the device under running water and then leave it out to air dry.

Powered with a NimH battery, the device is fully rechargeable and will provide the user with an adequate charge time of around 50 minutes although as a flaw it takes around 8 hours to fully charge. This is an issue if you need to travel somewhere in a rush.

It comes with attachable combs that let you get to the perfect beard and mustache length that you desire. It is engineered to be a precision based device so it will cut as close to the skin as is comfortable to provide you the best grooming.

Talking about the cutter that is the main attraction of this device, we are impressed by the sheer speed at which it performs; almost 200 rates per minute. This makes sure the job is done accurately and super-fast so as to cut down the shaving time in half and to not pull or tug at your skin.

You also have to replace the blade after a few months so as to maintain the sharpness and smooth performance of the device. This may be a step down from devices that offer long lasting blades but if you do not have an issue with replacing the blades twice a year, then its no worry. This also depends on how much you actually use the device.

Panasonic ER224S:

Next, we are going to be talking about the Panasonic ER 224 S which is made from their advanced Japanese blade technology that is reminiscent of their age old sword marksmanship. Built as an exceptionally precise and accurate device, it can tackle hair lengths and textures of all kinds but is best for the facial hair. We are talking about comfort and design at its finest.

It offers 14 personalized precision settings that can be chosen via the adjustment dial and it is equipped with stainless steel blades which are spring loaded and ready to provide the best trimming experience ever.

It also takes up to 8 hours for a full charge but once it is charged it will not lag or reduce in power for the remainder of the time you use it. It is cordless and rechargeable. The entire device is a 100 percent waterproof and wash safe. This allows you to clean and maintain the product with convenience but also allows you to use it wet or dry, in the shower or at the sink. Basically however you desire. You don’t even have to worry about it falling in water as it is fully immersible. It is preferred to wash it with lukewarm water and allow for air drying.

The design is also ergonomic which means even if lathered with shaving gels or foams, it won’t slip out of your reach.

Wahl’s Peanut Clipper and Trimmer:

Let’s move on to the next product which is the super popular Wahl’s Peanut Clipper and Trimmer which is from their professional series of devices. Straight off the bat you notice just how compact and light weight the device is as it is only 4 inches long. Now, that is a portable device which makes it best for those on the go.

It also has a powerful rotary motor which is far superior to your average electromagnetic motors as they provide the best speeds and power. The powerful motor does not mean that the device is difficult to manoeuvre and even though it is mainly designed for professionals the average user can use it just as easily.

A beautiful and compact model to look at, the trimmer is best for younger men and even for use around children as the powerful rotary motor is ironically one of the quietest ones we have come around. This might however disadvantage men with bigger hands but for the most part, it is a reliable little device. You will receive the additional accessories one normally does with electric trimmers such as a cleaning brush, blade oil for maintenance, 4 guards and an instructions manual.

The small design of the device makes it perfect for all sorts of shading, line ups and detailing one might want to try with a trimmer as it is easy to move around and experiment with. Especially if you are a barber or professional and you want to keep up with consumer demand of the latest styles.

However, the potential flaw of this device is the fact that it is not the best to use for long periods of time as it is not ergonomically built. It might feel flimsy in your hand after a while and doesn’t have the best grip.

Panasonic ER-GB40-S:

We are back with another Panasonic device which is absolutely jam packed with features that will get you excited. The first one being that it is designed keeping ergonomics in mind. For anyone who has ever used an electric hand held device, they know the struggle of a slippery or uncomfortable plastic feel to the device. However, that is remedied by the rubberized handle which provides the ultimate grip and the most comfortable experience.

It also is 100 percent water proof which means that the grip will work just as well with shaving gels and creams as it would without any water. The device also then becomes super easy to clean out as it has a compartment which collects the hair and can be drained out by running it under water. It has 19 adjustable length settings and the blades are made from high quality stainless steel that acts as a hypoallergenic material, offering the most comfort to sensitive skin.

It can also be used as a dry shave and will not cause problems such as irritation from razor burns as occurs when there are no shaving foams to ease up the friction between the device and the skin.

Even the blades are corrosive hesitant steel that will not rust and won’t dull up soon. They are crafted at a 45 degree angle which is considered to be the most optimum angle at which hair is cut. The angled blades allow for a faster cutting experience so your blades won’t run over the same area twice.

Talking about the 19 adjustable settings in more detail, they range from 1 to 10 millimetres with a .5 increase at each setting. They allow you to decide how close you want to cut to the skin and what beard length you wish to achieve. This is all achieved via the adjustment dial on the device which is rotatable and extremely user friendly.

Remington MB 200:

We are back again with another Remington product and this time we are talking about the Remington MB 200 which has fast become a fan favourite of beard lovers and enthusiast the world over. The company is known for their state of the art technology and design and that is why they always deliver upon our expectations.

First feature is of course the fact that the trimmer is 100 percent wash safe and waterproof which is a very useful spec for any device to have as the choice of a wet or a dry shave should be with every man. No more left over hairy messes inside your electric devices as the trimmer can simply be washed under a tap and dried for further use.

And of course the blades will not rust or dull over time even when washed with water as they are made from the best stainless steel coated with titanium which has a self-sharpening quality about them that makes them last longer. The trimmer features self-sharpening blades that are coated in titanium. The blades are therefore both super durable and give the best precision based performance each time you use them.

The battery isn’t the device’s strongest asset but is still a good one as it is rechargeable and gives the user an adequate output. The device also will not heat up and disrupt the surroundings by any noise as it is quiet and compact. Ergonomics has become the name of the game nowadays with companies striving to get better and better comfort to the user. The rubberized grip ensures the device stays firmly in your hand and also isn’t uncomfortable to the touch.

It also has nine length settings that can be adjusted via a built in zoom that offers a normal amount of settings that allow for greater customization of your usage.

Oster Fast Feed:

We feel as if the Oster brand is a seriously under rated one and is not mentioned as much as it should as it offers all the grand features other companies provide but at a great price. The Oster Fast Feed as the name suggests is built for super-fast and powerful performance but the first thing you notice is the old retro take on the device which makes it a nostalgic ode to the pioneers. It is sleek and light weight with a dark burgundy finish and is a small device with a strong punch.

In terms of additional accessories, you will get a whole grooming kit with clipper oil, blending combs and three length adjustment combs. If you want the blade guards as well that will have to be purchased separately. However, you will find out on using the device that it does not need a lot of expensive bits and baubles to work as a great device.

The main reason we are impressed with this device are its fast feed clipping technology that ensures a detailed trimming and shaving experience. It also stays cooler for long and is not as noisy as some models are. You won’t disrupt a Sunday morning or afternoon and will get your job done peacefully. The device is also ergonomically built which means it will be comfortable in your hand even with extended use.

The stainless steel blade also comes with a firm carbon coating that makes it way sharper than you ever imagines and durable for longer.

However, there is one thing that could be better and that is the quality of their clipper guards which are not as great as we would like them to be.

TRYM II:

This is the first time we are reviewing any product from the Pure Enrichment TRYM range but the TRYM 2 is an exceptional device as the design itself is super cool. It has been built keeping minimalism in mind and therefore there are no fancy colours or edges on this model. It is also a very discreet model which means that it can be placed within your bedroom next to its charging dock and it won’t give itself away.

Sleek and black and modern. The device is also super sleek and compact at a mere 6.5 inches it is super easy to handle although we doubt the design is designed to fit perfectly in ones hand as it is a bit rectangular along the edges. Its weight is less than 1 pound though which means it is easy to hold.

Talking about the blades of this device, they are super sharp, precision based and will not dull out on you anytime soon. They provide the ultimate shave and will not tug or nick at your hair or skin. The material is also considered hypo allergenic as it will not irritate or burn your skin. So it is the perfect device for sensitive skin. The company also provides a yearlong warranty which warrants a lot of trust from their end in the quality of their product and also shows they care about the customer’s needs.

It is a shaver primarily but works amazingly well with all hair types and part of the body.

Phillips Norelco 7200:

Our final device of the day is the Phillips Norelco 7200 which offers a phenomenal design with a grey and black plastic finish that does not look cheap. It is sleek and stylish and offers the user 3 trimming and grooming combs which help you adjust the length of hair you want. This is achieved by rotating a blue dial at the middle of the device that is super convenient and ease to use.

Out of all the devices that we have reviewed today only the Norelco 7200 is equipped with an integrated vacuum that claims to suck up around 90 percent of extra hair that is left behind. The powerful fan and motor sucks up all the left over hair as you will trim or cut them which means absolutely no hair is left. This quick suction action is also fortified by an increasingly powerful Lithium Ion battery that takes only an hour to charge and in turn provides up to 80 minutes of unparalleled and uninterrupted usage.

Although the device will give you 80 minutes of cordless usage, it also can be charged via its power cord.

The blades themselves work with the lift and cut technology that first lifts up the air via the trimming guides and then cuts them swiftly and accurately providing the user with the most efficient trim. They are also self-sharpening which are not only super durable but are also hypo allergenic and give you the most powerful performance.

There is one drawback however and that is the fact that the device is not waterproof which means you will have to opt for a dry shave. Only the attachments are washable and this might inconvenience users who want both the options.
